Say 'Hello'

For PSED this week we thought about how we welcome our friends. We talked about how people come from different countries and they use different words to say hello. We gave the star award to Alice because she has a very welcoming smile.
In Maths we had a focus on the number three. We used the language of more and less, we talked about odd and even numbers and we did lots of counting.
We were busy making our decorations to sell at the Christmas Fair. I hope to see lots of you there on Saturday between 11 and 2 when you can buy your own decoration as well as visiting Father Christmas.
In Literacy we all continued our work on 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff'. We thought about the ending of the story and what really happened to the Troll. Maddison thought he had floated down the river and out to sea and had arrived in South Africa! All the children had a go at writing some words or writing a sentence. The children are making great progress with their writing.
Our Home Learning this week is to look at the blog and comment on it. I am looking forward to reading your comments and sharing them with the class!

    I occasionally look at the blogs and it is really helpful in showing us parents what topics our children are learning at school and how we may be able to help them.

    This week I enjoyed going into the graphics area in learning through play.
    The Christmas Bazaar was great fun. My favourite stall was the chocolate tombola!
    Number 3 has two fat tummies and is smaller than 8.

    I liked the same as Joe at the Christmas Bazaar.
    At school I liked playing outside with Miles.
    I liked seeing how tall we were.
    And I liked drawing and I learnt how to do a g.
    I really liked getting Tidy Up Tiger.

    At the school I really enjoy learning about numbers, I also like playing role play, small world and music time.

    I really enjoyed seeing Father Christmas at the Christmas bazaar it was my favourite part and picking out my tea light I made for my mummy and daddy.

    I like to role play and I really like playing computers and also five little monkeys.

    I liked it when we played music at the School Nursery

    I like to make my daddy write words out so I can copy them.

    I like playing in the maths area. 3 is an odd number; 4 is an even number.

    I liked winning a jazzy jar at the Christmas bazaar. I loved the Christmas bazaar.

    i love playing games with my best friends.
    i'm learning how to write my name and enjoy reading books.
    i enjoy seeing my teachers and learning something new everyday!
    i always tell my mummy and daddy about my day at school and love showing them all the things i made.
